If you find you’re having problems connecting to a self-hosted WordPress blog, it could be because you need to enable XML-RPC. To do this, log into your blog as administrator and go to http://[yourblog]/wp-admin/options-writing.php . Under the "Remote Publishing" section, enable XML-RPC publishing protocols.
