Esendex will be rolling out a major release on the 5th
of August. This release changes the way we currently process messages, so that
your messages are processed and sent to their destination in a more efficient
manner. Due to the large change in our code, we will conduct this upgrade out
of business hours to minimise any potential disruptions to service. The upgrade will take place between 5:30 pm
and midnight (GMT) on the 5th, and customers may experience small
delays in service. However, Esendex is taking steps to ensure that no messages will be lost and a service
outage will not occur during the upgrade process, because every message
matters! Thanks in advance for your understanding, and we apologise for any
inconvenience this may cause.
Aside from the change in the way we process your messages
here are some of the new features that you may notice in this release. We are rolling out three releases in one on
the 5th and here is what you will see:
Release 89
This release includes a whole new Esendex Home page,
including a new login process. To login customers will now click the login
button at top right of the new homepage, this will take them to the standard
login screen. Customers should log in using this screen as normal. On
successful login the Customer will be forwarded to their inbox. If they return
to the homepage their account options will be visible to the top right with the
option to Logout.Users may now post to self hosted blogs via the Blogit
application.
Release 88
Customers who use Ecommerce will notice that they will be
able to purchase SMS for a specific account or for all accounts for the
Customer. If the user is associated with more than one customer they will be
able to purchase bundles for specific customers or specific accounts of each
customer.SMS submitted to a landline number will now be sent via
Voice SMS by default. This default option can be changed via their account
options page.
Customers who use email to SMS may now send their messages
via the Voice service by changing the domain to which the email is submitted.
If the email is submitted to MSISDN@voice.esendex.net
will be sent as a Voice message in English, MSISDN@voix.esendex.net in French and
MSISDN@voz.esendex.net in Spanish.
Release 87
User of Voice SMS will notice that they can now provide a
numerical originator for their Voice messages. The originator provided cannot
be a premium number.
