Last night Esendex conducted maintenance on our Load Balancing System which balances all incoming connections to our Web servers. This is a high availability solution that we have implemented to ensure that if maintenance work is carried out, it will not affect the availability of our services to our customers. Esendex has a testing environment that mirrors our live services. In this testing environment we first conducted the maintenance scenario, and did not encounter any issues. Unfortunately, when performing the maintenance last night on our live environment the Load Balancing System did not respond to the maintenance update, as expected, and as tested earlier. Therefore, Esendex experienced an outage of approximately three minutes. We sincerely apologise for this outage, and we are in direct communication with our suppliers to rectify the anomaly that occurred last night. Again, our sincere apologies for any inconvenience that this may have caused.
