As part of the options area we have a section called Regional settings which allows you to enter in your local country code so you can send messages in local format.
This normally works on the length of numbers, so if you have your regional setting to UK, we will assume that any number 11 digits or less needs to have the regional settings applied so instead of going through as 079, it will be converted and go through as 4479.
There are circumstances where this needs to be bypassed and where a number already has the international country code applied but is still 11 characters or less. To stop the regional settings kicking in either 00 or + needs to be applied to the beginning of the number. This is an instruction to our system that the number being set to doesn’t need to be modified in any way.
